A new Movie, Book and Travel - 5 fave things from last week
It’s been 3 months since my last post! Life not only has been super busy but I’ve been second guessing my approach to updates on here. Who wants to read about what I have going on? Nobody I keep telling myself!
I was on a flight home last Friday reflecting on my week. During that flight home, I was thinking about the things I really enjoyed or was grateful I had during that week.
That’s when I said, let me just wrap up the things I love for the week. Would love to know what you are loving right now too!
Packing Cubes
I love to travel! I love not checking a bag at the airport! I love staying organized when traveling. Want to change the way you travel, get some packing cubes. I love them! Here is a link to some I have but any packing cubes will work. I love having the shoe bags too! Tip: Use purse dust bags as shoe bags for travel too!
My new backpack (purse) from Poppy and Peonies
Day to day I use the many purses I have. For travel back and forth to the office, I have a big branded book bag with my company’s logo on it. I’ve been wanting something in between for a while. I’ve been eyeing Poppy and Peonies on Instagram for months and finally pulled the trigger and bought the commuter backpack and margaux wallet both in Cognac. I love supporting a small women owned business and love Nat’s story of why she created Poppy and Peonies.
I can’t tell you how much I love this bag! I normally go back to my purse after travel but I am still using it as my day to day bag. LOVE!

Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
I’m a HUGE fan of Oregon Pinot. This work trip involved a dinner nightly and I was in a wine mood last week. I was so happy to find a Williamette Pinot on the menu at every restaurant we went too! If you love Pinot, I highly recommend you buy a bottle of Williamette Pinot (there are over 700+ vineyards in Williamette Valley so take your pick on the vineyard or brand).
Carley Fortune’s new book, This Summer Will Be Different
I’m still swooning over PEI (Prince Edward Island) and Felix from Carley’s new book. I had tickets to the conversation with Carley hosted by Buxton Books last month. It was the same night as Chris’ birthday so I didn’t get to go but did get to pick up my signed copy a few days later. This is her 3rd book and my favorite so far.
I also listened to Kate Kennedy’s podcast, Be There in Five, where she interviewed Carley last month. I had no idea that while miserable at her corporate job she wrote her first book. It goes to show you that you can have dreams and then you can have dreams you take action on! She definitely took action on her dreams and now has 3 published books with another on the way next year.
Highly recommend reading if you are a romance reader! Enjoy it with some white wine and oysters!
Hitman on Netflix
Friday night after a long week out of town, we ordered a pizza and settled in for a movie. I wasn’t expecting much but LOVED this movie. Set in New Orleans, loosely based on a true story, action, comedy and a little romance. I LOVED it! Check it out on Netflix now!
Until next time,
Amy
