Mondays, Ugh and My Weekend Recap
As I write this, I just finished up my workday on the Monday after we “sprang” forward! I WAS looking forward to Monday. I had busy weekend plans and I’m so ready for more sunshine in the evenings.
Mondays are hard for me but this one was especially hard which I’m going to attribute to my weekend not working out the way I thought it was going to AND the time change.
To me, Mondays are a mix of excitement and dread. I am a creature of habit like most people and really enjoy getting back into my routines on Monday morning. I know everyone has a different first day of the week but I treat Mondays as the beginning of my week. I look at Mondays as a reset if you had a bad week, your priorities were out of line the previous week, or you officially start the countdown for the next week.
So despite starting Monday out feeling a little off, I made the best of it and hope the rest of the week is good! I have a short week this week so it’s got to get better, right?
This weekend was Charleston Wine and Food Festival weekend. This year, I had only purchased Culinary Village tickets. Due to that wild storm that came through Friday, they had to cancel both Saturday and Sunday Culinary Village days due to flooding at Riverfront Park. My friend who was in town for the festival and I made the best of it by catching up on 4 episodes of Vanderpump Rules, a little Retail therapy, brunch and enjoying Second Sunday on King.
I love it when your earrings match your outfit perfectly! Also, my Saturday cocktail creation was a glittery take on a French 75!
Sunday we kept our reservations at Momo for Brunch and then headed down to Second Sunday on King Street. I loved being able to wear these earrings I got on Saturday from The Happy Southerner. The weather was incredible for a day walking and shopping down King Street. Uncommon James by Kristin Cavallari is finally open in Charleston. I can’t wait to show you my purchases. We ended our day walking over to Carmella’s for a Wide Awake Shake, Cold Brew Espresso and Espresso Gelato! A perfect spring Charleston day!
Here’s to the rest of the week making up for Monday’s yuckiness!
XOXO,
Amy
